Frequently Asked Questions

SSYRA Registration

Be Sure to Register!

At the beginning of the school year, each public and private school is sent a letter from the Library Media Services office of the Department of Education. In this letter, you are given a temporary password which permits you to register to participate fully in the SSYRA program for the current school year.

With that temporary password, click in the box below, and follow directions to complete the registration process and select your personal password. Be sure to record your password in a secure place. In order to access the Name That Book and Questions/Answers activity files, you will need your login and password. In order to submit votes for your school in the Spring, you will need your login and password. Your login is your email address that was entered when you registered.

Note that the temporary password in the letter will not permit you to access the password protected files, nor to submit votes. You must register and create your personal password to perform those functions.

This site has a built-in function to let you retrieve your password if you have registered. During the 2006-2007 school year, it was discovered that some school districts block most email, and SSYRA emails with passwords could not be received by those who needed that information. It is your responsibility to make sure that email from: myssyra@gmail.com is not blocked by your school or district.
